Right now, your eyes are reading what I am writing.
How does it feel to be reading? Do you notice the letters going into your eyes and turning into internal sounds?
Or maybe just internal ideas? Did you notice that question mark? Or this one? What does it elicit in you? A rise in tone, perhaps?
Or maybe you're feeling annoyed that I'm asking so many questions. That's fine, too. Notice whatever it is you're feeling and then take a little mental step back and see that you can see yourself feeling.
Imagine you're a wildlife researcher and your brain is a new, funny animal you've discovered. You carefully observe all its actions, all its tendencies.
The researcher doesn't confuse themself with the animal, but they can become so invested in the watching that they forget themselves. Their own family, their own problems. Most of their mind is filled with the animal they're watching.
This is how you've become, so focused on your own mind that you think you are nothing more than a mind!
You are the one observing the mind. The blank canvas that mind paints a picture on.
