The Story of Cosmic Corner

When I was a child, my father who worked in Hospice counseling had the the kindest, most interesting friends. Each one had a deep personal spiritual practice that made them light up. They were the most authentic, gentlest influences in my life and could often be found at local metaphysical stores (that's what the New Age or Spiritual Supply shops were called back then) sharing food and music around bonfires. 

I came to Savannah in 2013 and couldn't find this kind of community, where spiritual experiences of all kinds were celebrated and explored, where questions were not only allowed but encouraged, where the aim was to find the source of truth, love, and peace. I decided I would have to bring that space to the city. 

In 2016, my now-husband moved up to Savannah to live with me, and both of us were "witchy" people. We began selling off our personal crystal collections to help support our eating habit and that spiraled into a tiny corner shop in 2018 at Escape Savannah. That 10x10 ft room was swiftly filled with people seeking spiritual community and the attendant good-smelling and shiny things which usually accompany that! 

For the first three years, we didn't pay ourselves anything and each held down additional full-time jobs. We even had an employee that we paid before we starting taking a salary! All our profit went back into buying and making more products, and that allowed us to grow. It was a few years of almost constant work, but it was fun work, and the results were worth it.

We opened our current location at 305 E 38th St in Savannah in February 2020 with a class room, private Tarot reading room, book room, crystal room, and candle room! And then, of course, shut down in March 2020 due to covid. We began hand-delivering products to our customers, and, more importantly, checking in with their hearts during that stressful time. Our dedicated community kept us going, we were even able to keep our employee when we shut down thanks to the online orders! 

Now we offer weekly community gatherings (we call them "circles"), reiki energy healing, akashic records readings, meditation classes, witchcraft classes, and twice yearly festivals for Samhain and Beltane to support the journey to joy, peace, wisdom, and love! Our retail business is always in service to our community building efforts.
